Policy and Preventative Measures
For your safety and that of our employees, we’re doing everything possible to ensure BESIDE Habitat complies with the recommendations of the Public Health Agency of Canada and provincial authorities.
Our cabins are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between rentals. We wish to remind you, however, that renters are at all times responsible for following public health measures.
Changes and Cancellations
If no government guidelines prevent you from honouring your reservation, our standard cancellation and change policies below apply.
If government or regulatory restrictions prevent you from honouring your reservation, you may postpone your stay or obtain credit valid for the 12 months following your cancellation. New dates for your reservation will be determined according to cabin availability, as well as the nightly rates and the minimum length of stay in effect. The 12-month window for credit use cannot be extended, and unused credits will not be refunded.
You are responsible for contacting us to check your options when a new government directive affects your reservation.

Acknowledgement and acceptance of risks
In renting a BESIDE cabin, I acknowledge that I will have access to a territory located in a forest environment, the use of which entails certain risks (notably those associated with the presence of bodies of water and rocky escarpments).
I acknowledge that I have been informed of the layout of the premises and their inherent risks. Without limitation, I acknowledge that no representation or guarantee has been provided to me concerning the depth of the bodies of water, or quality of rock walls, in particular.
I am aware that there is no supervision in place on the territory, including bodies of water, trails, and rock walls. These latter are not inspected, even where rock climbing is possible.
I acknowledge that undertaking activities on the territory, as well as using the equipment, structures, or watercraft at my disposal involves certain risks, which I accept.
I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to verify the state of all equipment, structures, and watercraft before using them. If a defect is found, I will immediately inform a representative of BESIDE.
I acknowledge that I have the physical capabilities, technical knowledge, and state of health required to use the equipment, structures, and watercraft at my disposal. I acknowledge also that I have the physical capabilities, technical knowledge, and state of health required to practice the activities that I choose during the course of my stay on the territory.
It is therefore with full knowledge of relevant facts that I accept the risks to which I may be exposed during my stay on the territory.
