ACTIVITIES

Tucked away in the mountains of Charlevoix,
far from the city and the rush of everyday life.

The land invites both body and mind to tune into the rhythm of nature

With a vast network of forest trails, endless horizons, breathtaking vistas, and abundant wildlife and flora, Territoire is a playground with near-limitless possibilities. A self-sufficient land, free from the constraints of routine—sheltered from time, speed, and performance.

Hiking
Just a short drive from the retreat, Parc national des Grands-Jardins offers a deep immersion in boreal wilderness. The Mont-du-Lac-des-Cygnes trail leads to sweeping views where wind, lichen, and silence shape a living landscape. A slow walk, senses awakened, to reconnect with what truly matters.

Other great hikes can be found in the Parc des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie, where steep cliffs, a winding river and trails that climb toward the sky reward every step.

Winter sports
In winter, the territory grows even quieter. On snowshoes or nordic skis, the trails around Mont du Lac à l’Empêche or in Grands-Jardins invite you to move at your own pace through fresh snow.

Stargazing & Northern Lights
When night falls, the sky opens wide. From the retreat or a nearby dark-sky spot, all you need is a blanket, a warm tea, and a bit of patience. Sometimes, the stars are enough. Sometimes, the northern lights dance.
Wild Foraging Walk
From spring to fall, the forest turns into a pantry. Alone or with a local guide, set out in search of berries, mushrooms, and edible plants. A mindful walk, hands in the moss, to rediscover the land from the ground up.
Local Culture & Artisanal Experiences
About forty minutes from the retreat, Baie-Saint-Paul blends art, coffee, and local craftsmanship. Wander through galleries and cozy spots, letting the afternoon unfold slowly. A gourmet pause at Casse Croûte chez Ginette or Les Bonyeuse, then back to the quiet, with senses fed in a different way.
Our other favorites:

Les Faux Bergers

Microbrewery or Distillery Tasting
In Clermont or Baie-Saint-Paul, local breweries and distilleries tell the story of the land in small batches. With a hazy beer or a woodsy gin in hand, you’ll taste local know-how in a warm, unpretentious setting. An authentic pause, from soil to glass.
Golf
Charlevoix’s golf courses offer more than the game itself — they’re an invitation to move slowly, breathe deeply, and take in the landscape between every swing.

Photography
Here, light changes everything. At dawn or under snowfall, every detail becomes a subject: a frost-covered branch, a mark in the moss, a distant moose. With a camera in hand or simply open eyes, it’s a way of seeing differently—and fully inhabiting the moment.
Biking
A winding ride through rolling hills, forests, and open valleys, the Route des Montagnes offers quiet gravel roads perfect for slow, scenic biking. Whether early morning or golden hour, the route invites you to move with the land’s rhythm — no rush, just breath and terrain. Pack a picnic, bring a film camera, and let the road unfold, one curve at a time. The region surrounding Territoire is also a haven for mountain biking enthusiasts. With trails carved through dense woods, over rocky ridges, and across breathtaking viewpoints, each ride is an invitation to explore the terrain with intensity and intention.
